"Slidey, neutral, sublime. You take the car by the scruff of its neck and just chuck it toward the horizon. It makes a stock car look lethargic, roll-heavy, almost stupid. And at no time does it even hint at biting you. Woof. So good." - Road & Track

This is the best suspension available for the ND Miata. It takes the fundamental nature of the Miata and improves on it. The roll is gone, replaced by quick reflexes - but not at the expense of travel or compliance. It's the same basic suspension used on our acclaimed V8 conversions, which has been praised for its organic, flowing feel.

This package combines our Fox suspension and sway bars.

Our swaybars are hot formed from 4140 CrMo spring steel. This means they're stronger than the cold-formed bars found elsewhere. We've designed them to keep the same handling balance as your stock sways, but they have three settings in the front and three in the rear for fine-tuning.

The front bar is a tubular design with 1.125" diameter and 0.188" wall thickness, while the rear is a solid 0.625". Both have three adjustment holes and include polyurethane bushings, brackets and grease.

The shocks are designed to keep the full range of suspension travel, including matching the massive 7" rear stroke. As with all our FOX shocks, they're aluminum bodied monotubes with adjustable rebound so you can fine-tune the shocks to your needs. Thanks to some careful fine-tuning of the valving, the car rides extremely well.

The Sport spring set is intended for performance street cars. It's comfortable enough for cross-country drives, but makes the car into a great back-road tool and very eager toy. It uses 400 lb/in front springs and 225 lb/in rear springs. On the RF, we use 250 rear springs to balance out the heavier rear end.

For track use, you can run higher spring rates. We've found 600 lb/in front and 350 lb/in rear works pretty well - those are the same rates used on the Global Cup Cars. We do not currently offer this spring set, but any good coil spring manufacturer can provide them.

If you choose one of the spring options they'll come with helper springs front and rear, as well as custom front upper mounts. This is a complete coilover setup with everything you need to install. We do offer them without springs if you'd prefer, just un-check the spring option - it'll still have everything else, just no springs.

There are a lot of little details on these parts that aren't immediately obvious. The springs sit on a high density plastic ring that acts as a bearing, allowing the spring to rotate on the perch without the expense of a bearing. The internal washers are disc ground for high accuracy, giving more consistent behavior of the shock. Even the body of the shock is given Kashima coat, which is a superior form of hard anodizing to protect the shock under the worst conditions. Even the shocks are light - 40% lighter than a Koni. Total weight per corner (springs, shocks, bushings, helpers) is 7.25 lbs for the front and 7.05 lbs for the rear. Made in the USA.

1-Year Limited Warranty for the original customer against defects in materials and/or workmanship. Custom revalving services are offered through Fox for $35/shock.

Great Kit and Great Customer Service

I've been waiting to write a review until i had some seat time in the car with the new suspension, to give my honest perspective. I had an issue with a faulty damper after 4-5,000 miles, but FM and FOX had it fixed for me free of charge. It also didn't take very long to receive it back from getting re-built at the FOX warranty center which was nice.

The suspension kit has been great otherwise. Its been installed for about 10 months and have loved it the whole time. The chassis roll has been greatly diminished compared to stock and inspires a lot more confidence when taking corners at speed. I have yet to make any adjustments to the sway bars or damper settings, but the out of the box setting FM recommend have been great! I might make some adjustments to the sway bar coming up soon, but we will see. The ride on the new suspension has been pretty comparable to the stock setup, although it might be a little more firm than stock. My dad has a stock 2019 club and he didn't really notice a difference to his car's ride as well, which was a relief considering i do a decent amount of driving and road trips with the car. Overall, couldn't be happier with this kit. Accomplished better cornering feel and "flatness" without ruining the ride quality for longer road trips. I'm excited to do a direct comparison next week when we have my car and my dad's car on a roadtrip through the blue ridge mountains. I'm sure he will be leaving there thinking about ordering a kit for himself.

Transformational

Changes the Miata from a "sporty" car to a true sports car. Annoying body roll? Reduced. Porpoising of the stock Bilsteins? Gone. Ride comfort? As good as, if not better than stock. And yes, the car looks cooler lowered, as well. All around fantastic upgrade.

Transform Your Miata

Purchased the sport springs version for my '16 Club. Customer service was excellent with delivery as promised. All the parts are top quality. The shocks are amazingly light! Installation was straightforward with the supplied instructions, although I did install the front sway using the "lower the subframe" method. After alignment to FM specs the car is transformed! Adjustments on the shocks allow me to add a bit of extra comfort for CA highway driving.
