A classic Miata performance shock with the best springs on the market! An excellent performance upgrade, especially for cars with worn stock shocks. Includes a set of four springs and shocks as well as bumpstops.

How much will this kit lower your car? We can't tell you, because Mazda changed the ride height of Miatas over the years. However, if you measure from the center of the wheel to the fender lip, you can compare your car to the final result. It's not a huge drop but once you drive the car you'll appreciate how well it works. The Konis do have the ability for an extra 3/4" of drop below these numbers, although that does come at a cost of suspension travel so we don't recommend it.

Too many problems, disappointed
I've been running this setup for about 2 years now so I figured I would share my thoughts. Initial install is quite annoying, as you need to drill out your upper shock mounts, but what's worse than that is the tab which you're supposed to hold onto to stop the shaft from spinning while you tighten the upper shock nut down is impossible to grab with the springs on. This means if the top nut doesn't tighten all the way (like mine), then it becomes near impossible to get it to tighten down fully. About one year into driving on the setup, both my rear shocks decided to stop adjusting. One day I went to adjust the dampening and both the rear shocks just spun forever. The rear left hand side also has developed a rattle which after extensive tear downs and inspections, I can only conclude is the shock itself, perhaps the upper nut which can't be tightened anymore. Fast forward to about 2 months ago. The front right circlip collapsed, resulting in a complete collapse of that corner. Upon inspection the lower spring seat on the left hand side also was very bent, and it was obvious the spring had been bending the spring seat around the circlip. I fixed both sides and put it back together. Around 2 weeks later it became apparent that the spring seats are bending just the same again and it's probably just a matter of time until they collapse again. Just get adjustable coilovers, avoid the headache of this package. Would not recommend.

Note from FM: We've tried to troubleshoot this remotely. The strength and reliability of the shocks has been proven over more than a quarter century. This sort of spring seat failure usually comes from coil bind, but we have not been able to identify a cause. We'd love to get this setup back in-house to examine them but that was not possible. We're sorry Ayven had difficulty, but we believe it's an atypical experience and we cannot explain why.

Great upgrade at a decent price
Great upgrade from my stock, original from 1990. Instructions were confusing until we contacted customer service, and they were extremely helpful in providing clarity. I recommend these for your beginning upgrade.
