We designed this hose for our turbo kits - it gives better flow, has fewer failure points than stock and gives more room for the compressor outlet hose. The first two attributes are also useful for any Miata.
Silicone construction with approximately 9 layers. Fits any NA/NB Miata, and replaces a three-piece factory design on the NA cars. Included with all of our turbo kits shipped after August 2008. Please note that there could be some contact with this hose, but nothing that will cause premature failure. Check out the video below (fast-forwarded to the relevant section) for more details.
Your stock hose clamps won't fit with the thicker wall of this hose, so we include two new constant torque / tension hose clamps.
This hose will likely need to be trimmed to fit on the block side of the engine. This is especially true for MSMs.
I have a custom turbo setup but use a FM manifold and downpipe. I I have both ac and ps and my turbo compressor points down there isn't not a lot of space there. This hose fits perfectly with no cutting needed. To anyone that says this doesn't fit I have to question your ability to work on cars. Great product
Does not fit well with a/c and ps. The a/c and p/s lines pinch the rad. hose restricting flow. Car still runs good however. Havent had any overheating issues as of yet.
Note from FM: thanks for the feedback. The fitment is definitely tightest on the 1.6 cars like yours.
The quality of the product is great, the new hose clamps it comes with are amazing and easy to fasten if you orient them the right way. The hardest part for me was figuring out how to route it with the a/c and p/s lines. It WILL fit on Na8’s w/ both. I just ended up having to cut about an inch off of the end to remove a kink in the line because it was a bit too long in my application. Overall would buy again, it feels nice only having two failure points on my lower hose.

'91 NA w/ PS and AC. I had no issue with the fitment. It sits close to the AC pulley, but no rubbing. I DO have the FM crossflow radiator, but the exit outlet on the radiator should be the same or similar as OEM. No issues, quality product.
