New and improved! Seriously. We've changed the material to make it easier on your car's finish and increased the versatility - while managing to cut the price by 20%.

Want to lift up both wheels on one side of your Miata at once so you can put it on jackstands or quickly swap tires? We do this all the time. Slide the jack under the middle of the car for a quick lift. Too bad Mazda only reinforced the seam at the front and rear of the car!
A customer asked us if we could do anything to solve this problem, and here's our answer. Our jack adapter sits on top of a typical floor jack and straddles that fragile seam, putting the load on the structure of the car instead. It's similar to the way the stock scissor jack is shaped, but offers significantly more surface area to prevent damage.

The new second generation design has two slots in it. One is a press fit on the pinch weld, which lets you stick the adapter on the frame rail before you slide the jack underneath. The other is wider, allowing the adapter to work with newer cars that have more plastic trim around the weld.
Fits all Miatas and many other cars. The slot is 7/8" deep and 3/8" wide, so as long as your other car has seams less than 7/8" high this should work. May not fit all jacks - a particularly deep or very small platform on the jack could cause a problem. The adapter has a 3" base.

We recommend you continue to use the factory lift locations on NC and ND Miatas due to some extra plastic trim. It will still make contact with some plastic parts, but we have not received any reports of damage since we started selling these parts back in 2010.

Very useful
2016 Club
I have two. Very handy for pinch welds and for giving an extra bit of rise with floor jack. Also makes the jack more versatile. And if you care, you won't scratch the aluminum cross members. I did notice a bit of spalling (as bit of flaking)on one of the pucks which was principally used to lift the car from the fore and aft cross members. So repeatedly lifting about 1200 lbs must have compressed it. The 2nd one has only be used on pinch welds and its fine.

I like this thing
I like it so much I bought two. If you are not careful though it will stick to the car when you lower the car and remove the jack. I was at the store and I thought what is that thing hanging off my car, and there it was, in all its glory, hanging on for dear life. I hate to admit it but I think it happened twice and there is an old Chines saying 'If it happened twice it will happen again'.

A must have.
If you are going to work on you Miata, or any other cars with pinch welds I highly recommend this jack adapter. Its soft enough it wont chew up the seam, but strong enough ot doesnt flex under the weight of the vehicle. You want to keep you car rust free? Start with this and dont chew up your pinch welds.

Works as advertised-- Love it!
My '02 Miata sits really low (H&R lowering springs) and it's extremely difficult to find a lift point under the car for my low-profile jack that doesn't interfere with setting up the jack stands.
This item allows me to the jack up the car using the pinch welds without damaging them and makes the entire process so much faster.
Funny story: After doing a coolant flush and thermostat replacement, I took the car for a spirited, 30-minute drive to test the system. When I got back home, I noticed I had accidentally left the puck on the pinch weld. It was on so tight, it didn't fall off!

Cheap and lovely, just buy it
You may think you may not need it, but once you use one, you won't ever want to use a jack without one. So much easier to jack up the front and rear of the car from the side at the same time. The larger opening fits the middle section of the pinch welds tightly with my "Tupperware" side skirts, and the tighter opening fits perfectly tight on the normal jacking points. I have accidentally driven my Miata to class with it stuck on, and it held on tightly for the several mile drive. Hilariously enough, I was admiring the side of my car I would normally not coming back from class and saw something weird on the bottom of my car. Oops! Although relatively inexpensive, it would've been a bummer to lose it for sure. I've also flipped it over and used it to raise the rear of my car by the differential. For weird cars like Teslas that don't have normal jacking points, this flat side would likely come in handy as well.

Perfect for an NC3
A must have for any Miata. I used it today to lift the and install a new set of wheels. It was a perfect fit on the 2013 PRHT pinch welds.

Square stock adds rigidity
Brazed similar fix years ago for jackstands, using square tubular stock. Tube stock fits the same space, but the second wall makes it far stronger, this []_[] versus this ]_[ Might be worth it on version 2.

top choice pinch weld adapter
Well built. A strong, quality made tool that is an essential item in your tool box. I use it on many different vehicles and it fits and works fabulously. I feel lost without it.

Worth every penny
This is an awesome tool, and it works for just about anything with pinch welds that you use to jack up a car with.

Have a '99 Miata and my roommate has a '90. Works amazingly, definitely makes jacking the car up way easier and quicker. No problems with durability so far.

These work well with the light-weight 1.5 ton aluminum "racing" jacks.
I keep one of these in our home garage/shop and one in a shop I rent a few miles from home. Of course they work with almost any vehicle with jack points at welded seams.

Works great for NA & NB, wish it worked for the NC.
Great Tool! I used to use it on my 2004 MSM to swap summer & snow tires in the spring and fall. Cuts the time in half, since I only have to move the jack once, instead of three (3) times (of course I still use jack stands to support the car while the wheels are off of the ground).

I just wish I could use it on my 2013 NC PRHT. :-(

works for Audi A4 too
I don't have a Miata but this is perfect for my 2007 Audi A4. The gap is just wide enough to fit and the width of the top pieces is the perfect size as well to not interfere with any of the plastic stuff.

Also, it fits in my Esco jack stands with the rubber tops removed though I think a 3.4-3.5" diameter would be ideal for this use as it could slide a little with the 3".

Very good product.
Great tool! I did not think I could get my car on jack stands with how low it was jacking the front than the back with my Craftsman floor jack " 2004 MSM with stock shocks and H&R race springs". With the tool I was able to drive my car on to some 2x6 boards I cut to 18" and jack ( jack adapter used sightly behind the mirror NB) the car one side at at a time and put jack stands under it in the reinforced spots. After I got one side up I moved to the other side and everything was good and stable. the car has been on Jack stands for 5 days.

A savior for all the pinch welds out there!!!
Works well enough for my car. Lifts my NA8 Miata without damage and fits under my lowered S1 RX-8, when used with a low profile jack (like the 1.5 ton aluminum one from Harbor Freight, same body as the one in FM's pictures).
