ND Miatas can actually rip their sway bar mounts off the subframe under hard cornering with uprated sway bars. The fix is a new subframe. That's an expensive repair!

We worked with Paco Motorsports to bring this solution to market. They're a simple bolt-on upgrade with no drilling that will increase the strength of your sway bar mounts dramatically. Made of powdercoated steel and less than a pound of extra mass on the nose of the car, they're cheap insurance. Easy to install when you're doing a sway bar swap.

Brilliant piece of engineering
I bought this as cheap insurance, but couldn’t quite wrap my head around how it installs. You remove one of the subframe mounting nuts, and it fits inside of a pocket in the subframe, attaching in four locations - pretty slick! I installed it last weekend as I was moving parts over from my old ND to my new ND, which was equivalent to installing it at the same time as a new front sway bar. Installing the front sway bar is a PITA, but installing this brace was easy. Retrofitting it to a car with an upgraded front sway bar would take a little extra time (to remove the splash guard etc.), but not bad compared to the work required to install the sway bar in the first place.
