- Needs redesign.

The marks are not fine enough. The ought to be sharper. Plus lack of instructions. The outer shell is well made. But the gears rubs against the bolts for the cylinder head shield.
Rating - Works well

Hi there. You sell your product as TODA adjustable cam gear. Well it's not. It's a copy and it's a ------ ---... ----.
Note from FM: We do not sell this product as a TODA gear. We have sold TODA in the past, but have offered our own since 2016 and we're quite clear about that. It is not a copy, although they do both have the triggers that are required for use on an NB Miata and of course they look similar because there are only so many ways to make an adjustable cam gear that won't break. We would appreciate it if you could contact us about any specific concerns you have about the product.
We have cleaned up the language in this "review" as it was unnecessary.Rating - The cam gear was not machined correctly and does not meet FMs long time standard.

At first I thought this was awesome. But after around 3000 miles I discovered that the cam gear was rubbing on both of the bolts behind it holding on the rear timing cover. The bolts were all the way in and metal shaving was spread all around behind the timing belt. There is now a score mark on the back side of the timing gear about .5 mm deep. The cam gear was not machined correctly and does not meet FMs long time standard.
FM note: we reached out to Donald to find out more about this and to learn more about the problem, but have not heard back from him. It's the only report we've had along these lines.Rating
