Great Product, Good Price, Easy Install
This may be my favorite sub-$100 modification on my extensively modified NB miata. Seriously. Installation was really straight forward as long as you have a way to drill and tap your hood bracket. Mark your drill location based on the directions, center punch your mark, drill your hole, and tap it. After that, its a simple bolt-on adventure. It raises the hood higher than the OEM prop does and am no longer working around the prop which is very convenient, not to mention it just looks better. Would recommend to anyone

Definitely a must do...
Easy and quick, using install kit. Looks good with stock mechanism gone. Better access to engine compartment.

Exactly what I wanted, exactly what was promised, good value
Received my NB Hood Lift Kit on a Tuesday morning. I had them installed in time for me to have a leisurely lunch. Easy to install and while there were instructions, I didn't need them. More room under the hood and it gives the hood area a finished look. Since the hood opens more than with the hood prop, there is more light.

Worth the Money
For the most part they're easy to install. Getting the clip back on is trickiest part. Hood opens at a perfect speed and gets it higher than the hood prop did. Closing the hood is easy and once it gets to a certain point you can let the hood drop and close normal.

Highly recommended
Great setup! Easy installation, the instructions are very clear and easy to follow. Product itself is very good quality and works exactly as intended.

Awesome product; easy install for me
Installed these with the hood in the normal up position. Purchased the drill and tap. Made a couple of simple measurements per the instructions, drilled and tapped holes and then screwed in ball fittings. Popped the strut back on to the ball fittings. For me this was a fairly simple install. They work extremely well and provide excellent access to the engine components. Makes engine bay look very clean and got rid of the old hood rod!

They work but the install is painful.
These are not bolt-on. A drill and tap are required. Instructions are poorly illustrated, and poorly written, and they use the Queen's English, meaning that some translation will be required for anyone living in the states (hint for those of you who speak American English: "Wing" = "Fender").

Great product
Great product, works really well. There were some clips in the bag and i'm honestly still not sure what they are used for because they weren't in the instructions.

i had no issues during installation, however, once you have both ball joints installed on my NA miata i had to pull the lift down to get both ends onto the ball joints. It was easier after i depressed them once on the ground before installation.

Clean underhood look
I put these in about a week ago. Installation was actually a lot harder then I expected. It was a tight fit using a wrench to bolt the strut to the fender. Then with the hole drilled in the hood, I had to wrestle the top in and start the nut going while holding the strut under compression because the strut is still partially compressed when the hood is all the way open. I also had to unbolt the hood from the bracket so that I had room to thread the nut, which meant I had to unbolt and reposition the hood on the brackets again later to get the hood to close properly again. It was worth the trouble though. The engine bay feels more open without the prop rod and lends it a clean, uncluttered look. The hood lifts up gently and slowly and closes all the way on the first try just like stock. $70 well spent.
