These are built well and were easy to install. Anodized surface helps keep it in good condition as well.

  2. Shock Mount

These do not pair well with 2.5 springs right out of the box, you will need some form of spring isolator/locator to center the spring on the shock mount. Other than that the quality is top notch as would be expected from FM products.

Note from FM: you will need a spring locator when trying to use 2.5" springs with any mount designed for standard 4" springs. We include locators with our coilovers when applicable, and Ground Control does the same.

  3. You need this if you're a LowLife like me.

Installed these with FM Springs, Fm Bump Stops, and Bilstein HD Shocks. Replaced Koni Lowering Springs. It was nothing short of transformation. Before this install I had grip issues in the back with a stock motor. Now I have an FM Turbo installed and the rear tires slip LESS than they did before.

  4. No More Endos
    Rating

I installed these last night on my 90 Miata. I run a stock powerplant, stock viscous diff, Tanabe lowering springs, stock shocks, stock sway bars, Advanti Storm S1's with super cheap rubber, front Good-win racing shock tower brace, lower arm braces front and rear, and a Cobalt rear shock tower brace. These top hats COMPLETELY changed my mindset on taking my car for a drive. I WAS embarrassed and apologetic when taking people for rides in my car BEFORE. It WAS a drift machine and an endo mobile because I HAD about an inch and a half of rear suspension travel (don't hire a maintenance mechanic for aftermarket work). NOW, after removing a bunch of crap left on my shocks and installing these top hats and included bump stops I am blazing over pot holes, big bumps, and dips yet my keister hasn't left the seat nor have I bottomed out, despite my efforts. Drifting takes a lot more coaxing now but the G force factor is stupid, even with cheap rubber. Rating out 5 = +2.5 Rear Grip, +5 Comfort, -2.5 Drift +1 Steady Understeer, +2 Transitional Understeer. Going to install longer front bump stops to fix the Understeer.

  5. BE VERY CAREFUL TIGHTENING THE MOUNTING NUTS
    Rating
    80%
These mounts are awesome, I got these with the 2.5 kit and even though my spring and dampening rates are significantly higher I have no complaints at all about ride quality. These really go a long way in helping the back keep from bottoming out. Stripped the threads right out of the stud on one mount. This is not covered under warranty (user error) so take care not to overtorque (last time I trust a harbor freight torque stick).

  6. Great addition to suspension

Relatively easy to install and when combined with Flyn Miata Springs give a very solid non jarring ride. The extra shock travel makes a significant difference in comfort and control.

  7. If you lower your car its a must have. Awesome quality

not cheap, but the quality is perfect, but first of all the effekt is noticeable. much more travel and smoother ride. The inner hole may be a bit bigger for thicker shocks and the shock-covers. But Overall i never want miss it.
