Frog Arms
Stiffen up the front end of your Miata.
This item will be dropshipped from the manufacturer.

Frog Arms mount under your front fenders and shore up the front of your Miata. This helps keep the front end from twisting under impacts and cornering loads, leading to more precise handling and a reduction in cowl shake. They're fabricated from steel and powdercoated a wicked green color. Once installed, they're invisible so only you know they're there! Fits all NA and NB Miatas.
A good addition to anyone chasing after maximum chassis stiffness. We install them on all of our NA and NB turn-key V8 cars.

Takes a bit of effort, but it is worth it to me.
Installed these myself with little difficulty on a 2001 Miata LS. Needed minor cleanup drilling and there was a bit of trimming with a Dremel and a cutting wheel. Instructions seemed a bit more suited for an NA, but weren't too bad. The Frog Arms tightened up steering response a bit by reducing some flex in the cowl/dashboard area. Did one side one afternoon after work and the second side the next day. Removing the fenders allowed removal of a bunch of leaves and junk from behind the fenders behind the wheel wells which could become a site for rust later. I would do this mod again! I painted my Frog Arms to match the exterior of my car.

They work, but not sure about the worth
Had them installed after a front end collison on my 90 (I was stopped at a stop sign and got hit) I thought I would give the car all the help it could use. Not a huge difference, but noticable. Had the body shop doing the repair install them.

Not as good as the competition.
I've owned both these and the X-brace from V8roadsters, which accomplishes the same thing. The X-brace was installed on my 2003 NB and the Frog Arms on my 2001 NB. The frogarms is an inferior product in a lot of ways. I had to shim some of the metal mounting points on the frog arms. I had to drill out some of the holes too. I thought maybe the body was treaked on the car, but the shimming and drilling had to be done on both sides. Also, the finish was really uneven, thick in some places and worn/thin looking into others. The V8roadsters piece is just better, and around the same price. Stiffness is probably comparable. I just bought a 99 Miata and went with the V8R part on this build.

Good product, just barely worth the pains of install.

Car: 1994 Miata ( 100% stock other than this item)

Though the arms came with instructions ( vague) It required shaving parts of the fender as well as the spacers provided to allow the correct positioning of the brace.

Paying as much as I did, I don't think I should have to cut down spacers at all.

The arms helps with initial turn in but didn't do a ton for the cowl shake I experience.

overall, with the pain of install, alignment of doors, and process of pulling off the fenders, this is best left for someone who Really wants that extra edge.
