 The stock gauge hood is usually great until you try to remove it. They're notoriously brittle, and will break the tabs off easily. Fortunately, we have a solution! This gauge hood from Classic Gold is built to OE specifications and is available at much lower price than the Mazda version. It's made from a UV resistant material that will keep your investment looking good for years to come, backed by a 12 month warranty. It even comes with the necessary metal clips so that it is a true direct replacement with no modications required to fit.

For left-hand drive Miatas only, won't fit right-hand drive Miatas.

Great Product -

The gauge hood is very nice, nice quality and it fit perfectly. I put a little grease on the metal clips and it snapped right in. No more rattles. The old one sort of disintegrated on the inside and was very brittle.

Great OEM Replacement

The fit and finish of this piece is great and dimensionally, it's spot-on. All of the included clips have great retention and the material strength and rib design (common failure on original parts) are more than adequate to provide another 25 years of OEM performance. The outer shell of the hood is smooth and doesn't appear to have the coating that is seen on some OEM parts, so there should be no concerns with the surface becoming soft and tacky, over time. I did have a small defect with my original part, but this was smoothly rectified by the FM team.

Overall, it's nice to see that there are still manufacturers that fill the demand for these delicate pieces. It's even nicer to have a reputable distributor that stands behind the products they sell.
