AeroCatch hood latches
AeroCatches are a modern alternative to old-school hood pins. The first difference is obvious. They're far more aerodynamic and clean. They're also really quick and easy to open and close. Just push on the button and pop the latch open - just like releasing the top on a Miata, actually. But there are other differences you don't see immediately.
The biggest problem with hood pins is what happens when you forget to latch them. You end up wrapping your hood around your windshield, and nobody wins. When an AeroCatch is open, you can see it from the driver's seat. They also have a two-stage locking system, so that even if the button is pushed and the latch is partly open, the pin is still secure.
This version does not lock. We include some Nord-Lock two-piece locking washers that will keep your hardware from coming loose - only from FM!
Comes in black. Can also be painted. Sold in pairs.
This is the "plus flush" version. There's another called "flush" that puts the flange under the hood. We recommend the "plus flush" because it's easier to install and more secure. It'll hold the hood closed even if all the screws come out.
