We get a surprising number of requests for these. If you're moving a set of frame rails or a butterfly from one car to another, you may decide to change out the fasteners for one reason or another. They're all stainless steel, but sometimes it's just easier to leave the old ones in place.
It contains the following:
- 6 8x20x1.25 stainless steel bolts
- 18 8x25x1.25 stainless steelbolts
- 4 10x20x1.5 stainless steelbolts (for butterfly)
- 24 8x1.25 locking nuts
- 48 5/16" stainless steel flat washers
This is the same hardware included with all new kits since 2011. There are some slight variations on earlier kits so you may have extra hardware or have to source a few nuts. The biggest difference is in the four butterfly bolts, the thread pitch has changed and they used to come with nuts.
Works with kits shipped from February 2011 onward including the v2.0 kits.
It will also work with frame rails sold from Sept 2005 to Jan 2011, however, the customer will end up with extra hardware and this kit does not include the self tap screw.
NA: Works with v1 kits shipped from May 2011 to June 2019 that have the nuts welded on the bracing (kits shipped from Aug 2011 to Dec 2011 were missing the nuts so we supplied 1.25 thread pitch bolts, nuts & washers). Kits prior to May 2011 also used 1.25 thread pitch bolts, nuts & washers.
