The Miata has always had one of the best feeling shifters on the planet. But as they get older, some of the components start to wear and it slowly loses precision. You might not even notice, but it's not what it was. Luckily, it's easy to rebuild, and you can access everything from inside the car.

This kit includes all the pieces you need to make your shifter feel new again. All components are factory Miata parts. 

For 1990-93 transmissions. If you have a 1993, check the VIN - if it ends in 413071 or higher, you need the 1993-specific version.

small shift boot (M514-17-480A) lower shift bushing (0398-17-462A) upper shifter pivot ball bushing (R502-17-492) smooth wave washer (8599-17-482) tabbed wave washer (M505-17-482) lower shifter pivot ball bushing (M501-17-481) upper ball alignment bushing (M501-17-515) shifter shim x 2 (9996-33-130)

nice bait & switch job...you got me.......once!

pretty stinky showing the top cover boot in the image, but you need to read to the bottom to find out its -not- included! now I have to order one overnight...not from FLYIN Miata though. We just got two of them, have lots of stuff to buy.

Shifts like a dream

I want to sit in my car and shift it all day now. It moves so much more precise and always selects the correct gear easily. Feels like a rifle bolt. Probably the best modification I have ever done to it, especially with Ford Manual Transmission Fluid and new engine mounts. (2001 NB 6 speed)

Night and day difference

Contained everything I needed, completely stock, and made my shifter feel so much better. I wish it came with some instructions or diagrams but YouTube was more than enough to get me through the process. I strongly suggest flushing the turret oil out multiple times, that stuff was nasty!

Don't Hesitate On This Shifter Rebuild Kit

After searching other suppliers, diagrams and reviews F. M. was a clear choice. Every necessary part was included in the shifter kit and all OEM. The rebuild went as expected and the parts were direct replacement fit. If your baby is older than 10 years, don't hesitate on this shifter kit, you will need all boots. Completely changed the way my 92 B&T shifts,it is like brand new. Flyin Miata is my source for all things Miata. Great service and satisfied in every way.

Worked great - 91' NA6

Had a leaky small shifter boot and cracked top boot, figured I'd rebuild it. It's pricey but worth it: no more oil leaking out the housing and the shifting does feel better, less noisy in gear. Very easy to put together, all parts fit perfectly. Don't forget to get gear oil to change out the fluid.

Had some delays with this order and FM went out of their way to ship items separately so I could get started on my projects. Thank you!
