15x8 wheel / tire bundle for NA/NB

Enkei RPF1 in silver
15x8 wheel / tire bundle for NA/NB

Price as configured: $0.00

Our favorite street combos for the Miata. Choose your own wheel and tire combo.

This is our favorite wheel and tire size for the NA and NB Miata. There's a wide range of tires available in the 205/50-15 size, and the 15x8 gives maximum support to the sidewall for maximum steering response and performance.

These packages are shipped mounted and balanced with all hardware required. All you need to do is check the tire pressure and bolt them on!

The S2 is flow formed and has a +25 offset. Rolling will be required on an NA. It weighs 12.0 lbs.

The Enkei RPF1 is a classic, one of the lightest wheels on the market thanks to flow formed construction. Be warned, it may not fit with all brake kits. The +28mm offset will need a a bit of rolling on an NA. 11.3-11.4 lbs depending on finish. The brilliant finish is chrome-like, but not chrome.

Sorry, 6UL wheels are not currently available in wheel/tire packages.

You can select either 205 or 225 series tires. They're both the same diameter, but the 225 is a wider tire and puts more rubber on the road. It will have a bit of a sidewall bulge while the 205 will have a more "square" profile. With the +25 offset of the Advanti Storm, the 225 will require a roll on the NA and probably a slight roll on the NB.

The Dunlop Direzza ZIII is the latest version of one of our favorite tires. They now have a wider center rib and more space between the tread elements, putting more rubber on the road. Not a great tire in standing water. They work well on the street as well, with their biggest downside being some noise as they wear. 200 treadwear rating (TW).

The BF Goodrich Rival S is a fast tire that deals well with track use. The tread pattern makes it a poor choice for standing water, so keep that in mind if you plan on driving in heavy rain. 200TW.

The Toyo R1R deals well with cooler conditions and sticks well, but we've found it can overheat with really hard track use. 200TW.

Bridgestone's RE-71R is the newest star in the extreme performance category, and it'll make your neck hurt. Grips like crazy. 200TW.

Our choice for a longer life is the Yokohama S.drive. It's got good traction and should last at least 50% longer than the other tires. It's what we use for street tires on much of the Flyin' Miata fleet. As a bonus, it's very nicely priced. 300TW.

Shipping note:

This package will be shipped directly from Tire Rack. If they do not have stock, then we will not have stock. Unfortunately, we cannot offer this package to CT residents due to sales tax difficulties, nor can it be shipped outside the US.

Great way to buy tires.
Great tires and they fit on a NA with a bit of a roll on the fenders. My car is 1" drop in front and 1.5" in the rear and they fit nicely. Came with new lugs that fit on stock studs. Hubcentric rings and already balanced. Lower the pressure when you get them. 28psi rides nicely. Arrived in 2 days. Would buy again.

RPF1s. Amazing. Re71rs. Amazing. Fitment. Better than I imagined. Only problem I have had is with tire rack. One of the locknuts on the backside of the valve stem came loose and starting bouncing inside the tire. But a little threadlocker and that’s sorted. The hub centric rings they provide are also terrible. I’ve had two with the centering ring pop out while mounting the wheels resulting in a nice scratch and a warped ring. All in all very satisfied and will definitely recommend.

Ultimate Miata transformation, both performance, and looks! Best single mod for sure!
My 1st real modification on my stock 1999 Miata and FM did not disappoint one bit! I drive my miata kinda hard on the street, because I don't have the time or money for a track day. Drive it both to work and just to relieve stress. I had stock tires and decent wheels and spun out multiple times flying around turns at midnight after work. After I got the ADVANTI S1 with the YOKOHAMA S-Drives however, this was no longer an issue, not that its smart, but i can fly around faster and MUCH SAFER with these tires. The compound is definitely soft enough for fun, but strong enough for the street. These things also champ in the rain, you can still kick out the back if you really want to, but they still grip all day rain or shine. The Wheels get all kinds of compliments, and I was expecting just some looks, but got a wave of compliments. TIRE RACK IS AMAZING! I bought them Friday, and received them on Tuesday morning, idk how this is possible, but I am not dissapointed one bit! Tire rack gives you all the parts you need too, prefitted/balanced wheels and tires, new lug nuts, a lug nut socket, and the wheel connector (forgot the name, but the part between wheel and rotor for 100% fitment).Truly transforms the car with looks and performance for street use (only thing I've tested) ten fold, but I'm sure they're great on the track as I can take hard corners well. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking to begin upgrading their miata or anyone who has yet to do wheels and tires. I have since added a couple other parts, but the wheels and tires are by far the most noticeable mod. Tires/wheels are the only part touching the ground, so even if you have good coilovers, you NEED these(my reasoning for "BEST MOD")! The FM alignment specs are also fantastic addition! Call FM for assurance or extra info, then buy them to transform your MX-5!

Amazing grip. Looks amazing!
I got the advanti storm (Black). Had these wheels for about 2 months now and there amazing. Taking corners with ease... making sure no one can catch up to me. They're so fun. Also they make my cat look amazing and I get tons of compliments

Very helpful staff, fully recommend. Great package
I have been looking to upgrade my Miata for a long time now, and one of the first upgrades for a car should be the wheels and tires.
Finding the correct wheels and tires to fit your car can be a hassle when you're just a wee gearhead learning the ways around your vehicle, but FM really knows what they're talking about and were able to put together a clean package that works very nicely.
I at first ordered the Kosei K5rs with Direzzas, but FM was out of the Koseis, both in grey and silver. The FM team was EXTREMELY helpful and didn't mind me calling about a million times to ask questions and for updates on shipping, etc. They were probably the most helpful people I have ever interacted with over the phone.

I got the Advanti S1 Storms in Titanium Mirror, still wearing the Direzzas; they came ahead of time, all packaged nice and neatly with the new lugnuts and a lug adapter, and were a relative breeze to install. They also make the car (1999) make look aggressive and more modern. I am in love.

And as for handling, I can't say much for the other tires, but the Direzzas are like glue. I don't notice much extra road noise since Miatas are loud already, and boy do these things stick. I have barely been able to even get them to squeak around corners, and I had to say bye-bye to spinning the tires on launch- now the car just lifts off like a rocket. It feels like I have a 40hp gain on acceleration with these tires.

Totally recommend. Make sure to read up on tire pressure vs heat expansion so you can get your street vs track pressure correct.

Great bang for the buck.
Went Kosei 15x8 (38 offset) w/ 205s - the car is dropped 1/2 inch yet there is no rubbing. The wheel well is nicely filled out with out protruding. Gives me the option of going to 225s. Light weight.

Great value and performance
Bought Kosie and S drives. The 15x8 38 offset are perfect for someone who wants light weight and full wheel wells with no rubbing.

Expensive for everything, but so worth it
I got the Advanti Storm S1s (15x8) with the Yokohama S.drive. Not only does my car look amazing now, it handles like a dream. So much confidence going through corners and wet roads. The car stays nice and stable too. Be sure to get your alignment done with the recommended specs from FM. I was having a little bit of wobble at high speeds for the first 50 miles after installing until I got my alignment done.

Now if only I could afford new suspension too... maybe next year. :P
