The NB license plate light housings are not easy to remove, especially when they're a couple of decades old. It's quite likely they'll snap when you try to remove them, which is no fun at all.
These units are a full replacement housing that simply snap into place, so it doesn't matter if your old ones shatter. Plug-in wiring and a nice bright LED glow for your plate - and your trunk light, because that's how the NB rolls.
