What Is Data Log Lab ? |
Data Log Lab is a graphical analysis tool. It loads the data logs generated by various aftermarket car ECUs and enables rapid and meaningful analysis of the information that is hidden within them. It offers far more functionality than the manufacturers’ original software and access to it in a far easier way. It’s combination of power and ease of use has already won it many satisfied customers. But don't take our word for it - see the Customer Comments page!

Data Log Lab has been successfully used for over 5 years within the after-market ECU community. It's usability has been honed over that time to give the best experience possible and to find the perfect balance between ease of use for beginners and powerful features for the advanced. The facilities it offers are those which are of the most use - no "flowery" or "pretty" features just because they look good! The collection of graphing tools provided gives users immediate feedback on the most meaningful data within the data logs, and the Power Graph calculations tell unequivocally the effects your tuning tweaks have had on the car's performance. The Power Graph calculations that Data Log Lab performs have proved remarkably consistent and typically within 2-5% of rolling road figures.
It works out of the box with data logs generated from the following ECUs and associated software:

But with the addition of Data Log Lab's latest feature of Universal Data Log Loading, ANY data log can now be loaded by Data Log Lab. All that's required is that the data log is a text-based delimited format (typically generated by the data logging software for loading into a spreadsheet, e.g. Microsoft Excel), and the creation of a simple Data Log Definition file to tell Data Log Lab what's in the data log. Download, install, and see the application's on-line instructions for detailed information on how to do this.
All ECU users have access to the following features:
View any combination of data on a single large time-based graph.
Compose your own analysis graphs using any of the engine parameters within the data log, e.g. O2 verses RPM, MAP versus Knock, etc.
Produce instant power and torque curves.
View accurate speed versus time graphs to give in-gear acceleration.
Create your own preset time-based and data-based graphs.
Owners of Flyin’ Miata’s Link ECUs also have access to the following features:
Capture data logs from the ECU whilst driving.
Amend all ECU settings within a comfortable GUI environment and upload changes to the ECU.
View changes made by the ECU to your fuel and ignition timing.
View 3D graphs of the fuel and ignition maps.
Compare your fuel and ignition settings to the supplied benchmarks or to your own benchmarks.
Copy settings from benchmarks and upload to the ECU.
Save and Load ECU settings to create a library of configurations suitable for different events (daily driving, track driving, etc.).
Launch the capture of new data logs from within the application.
