The GM ecu puts out 56000 pulses/mile, while the Miata speedo expects 8,000. This interface box lets us doctor the signal. Fine tuning involves driving at a steady speed and calibrating off a GPS.

Jon added angle aluminum and rubber gasketing to stand this fan shroud off from the radiator and make it more effective.

You can see how nicely the shifter lines up with the stock location. Jon looks puzzled...

The F body oil pan needs to be cut and welded to clear the new subframe.

1/4" plate does the job nicely. And yes, you need a welder.

We use the AWR front swaybar mounts so we can mount the bar farther forward to clear the crank pulley, as well as being much stronger than the stock mounts.

Well, yes it is. In between now and last pictures, we had our Summer Camp, then we had to weld the pan, modify the oil pickup, make engine mount covers, start putting the interior back together, blah, blah.

The fuel line continues up the firewall, where it mates with a stainless steel braided hose to the fuel rail.
