A peek under the car.

Everything's nicely tucked into place. If you look at the exhaust just before the two pipes join into one, you'll see the metal matrix catalytic converters we've installed on this car. They've been a popular option on our builds.

In between snowstorms, we've been putting a few miles on the car to break it in and sort it out.

We also had a new windshield installed at Dan's request. Now that's some clean glass!

The suspension is an FM Stage 2.5 setup. The tires are a tiny bit oversize at 215/45-16 - a normal size would be 205/45-16 or 215/40-16.

Time to start breaking in the engine and test-driving the car to find bugs. We cooked in the headers this morning - nothing quite like seeing smoke coming out of your brand shiny engine bay!

Just needed a couple more strategic cuts.. A little painting and the hood will be ready to put back on the car.

On the NA, some cuts will have to be made to the hood supports.

This is necessary to clear the PS reservoir as well as the 4" intake of the LS3. Further cutting would be necessary to allow the LS3 fuel rail covers to fit.

With the tighter engine bay of the NA, we had to get a bit creative with the intake.

That's a big fat tube to try to fit in, but we managed it. The filter's not in the ideal location when it comes to cold air, but at least the NACA duct will help out a bit there.

Here's the steam hose setup- one of the radiator mounts is drilled out & tapped for the 1/8 NPT -> 1/4" nipple.

Note that in the latest crate engines, the water pump outlet is on the driver's side of the throttle body!

FM is also producing a stainless bolt-on shifter for the T56.

NAs are getting a Corvette fuel filter with an internal FPR built in, making them a returnless system.

This is necessary to attain the correct fuel pressure to run the factory mapping in the GM ECU.

The lower radiator hose must be cut, rotated, and spliced back together to fit just right.
